This Privacy Policy explains how the MotorliX mobile application (MotorliX, we, our) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the app.

1. Information we collect

MotorliX is designed to require as little personal information as possible.

Account data (created automatically)

When you first open MotorliX, we generate an anonymous account for you on our backend (Supabase). This account is identified by a random universally unique identifier (UUID). We do not ask for or store:

• Your real name
• Your email address
• Your phone number
• Your physical address
• Your date of birth

Profile data (set by you)

You can edit:

• A display name (e.g. "Speed Demon").
• A handle / username (auto-generated, e.g. racer_a1b2c3d4e5).
• An avatar, selected from a fixed set of in-app images. We do not allow uploading photos from your device.

Gameplay data

We store progress that powers the experience:

• XP, level, current streak, best streak, total correct answers
• Modules completed, units progressed, lessons passed
• Cards / badges / trophies earned
• Daily counters for the Guess the Sound and Guess the Car mini-games
• Lives consumed and bonus pack balance
• Top 3 collectible cards you choose to feature
• Friendships you create with other MotorliX users (mutual opt-in only)

Purchase data

If you make an in-app purchase or subscribe, our payments partner RevenueCat receives standard transaction data from Apple App Store or Google Play. We store:

• The product purchased (e.g. motorlix_module_m6, motorlix_premium_monthly)
• The transaction timestamp
• The store that processed it
• The currency and amount

We do not receive or store your credit card number or other payment details — those stay with Apple, Google, and RevenueCat.

Technical data

We do not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or trackers. We do not collect:

• Your device's advertising identifier (IDFA / GAID)
• Your location
• Your contacts
• Your photo library
• Microphone or camera input

Our backend (Supabase) automatically records standard server logs (timestamps, IP address, user-agent) for security and rate limiting. These logs are retained for up to 30 days and never shared.

2. How we use this data

We use the information above only to:

• Run the game (sync progress, render leaderboards, enable friend lists).
• Honor purchases and subscriptions you make.
• Investigate abuse and protect the service from spam, bots, or fraud.
• Improve MotorliX based on aggregate, non-identifying usage patterns.

We do not sell or share personal information with advertisers or data brokers.

3. Friends and the leaderboard

If another MotorliX player adds you as a friend, your public profile (display name, handle, avatar, level, XP, streak, current rank) becomes visible to them. The same data is visible on the global leaderboard. You can delete your account at any time to remove your data from all of these surfaces (see Section 6).

5. Children

MotorliX is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under the applicable age threshold in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will remove it.

6. Your rights — deletion, access, export

You have the right at any time to:

• Delete your account from inside the app. Open MotorliX → Profile → scroll to the bottom → "Delete account". This permanently removes your auth record, profile, friendships, badges, trophies, daily counters, entitlements, and purchase log. Action cannot be undone.
• Delete your account by email (if you no longer have the app installed). Send a message to motorlix@proton.me with the subject line Delete my account and include either your username (e.g. racer_a1b2c3d4e5) or the email linked to any subscription. We will verify ownership, delete every server-side record listed above, and confirm by reply within 7 calendar days. No reinstall required.
• Access or export the data we hold about you. Email us at the address in Section 8 and we will respond within 30 days.
• Correct inaccuracies in your profile via the edit tools in the app.

7. Security

All traffic between the app and our backend is encrypted with TLS. Database rows are protected by row-level security policies that restrict reads and writes to the owning user (with limited exceptions for the leaderboard and friend visibility described above). Service-role keys live only on our servers — never on your device.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of this page with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use of MotorliX after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
